  • Etymology

    The word "ilicit" means "illegal".  The word "licit" means "legal".  Shouldn't the word "elicit" have something to do with the law?  Maybe "elicit" could be like "email" and refer to stuff that's legal online.  Like downloading music that you would otherwise have to pay for.  That's elicit, right?  Right?
